Layout Tour Dates

11:00 am - 3:00 pm

When designing this layout, the objective was to explore different geographies and industries within Georgia and the south, playing upon a historical reference to my great-great grandfather who was President of the Central of Georgia Railway. The Central of Georgia Roundhouse in Savannah has been carefully reproduced along with Savannah’s River Street waterfront. An Alabama coal mine and the Atlantic Steel Mill are just two of the industrial vignettes within the overall layout. Some of the top model builders and scale artists in the U.S. participated in the layout’s construction, seeing its first full operational run in December of 2013. Surrounding the layout is a hand painted mural depicting the four seasons and situated to literally extend the eye beyond each of the layout’s scenic vistas.

Directions

From I285, exit onto Peachtree Industrial, North. Exit Peachtree Industrial at Winters Chapel. Bare left onto Winters Chapel for approximately 1.5 miles. Turn left onto Nesbit Ferry. Proceed through the signal (Spalding Drive) and travel about 1 mile to 8050 Nesbit Ferry Rd. on the left. Parking will be on the street only. The driveway is quite long and the access to the layout requires steps, so we cannot accommodate wheelchairs. My apologies. Signs will lead the way.
