The 4th iteration of this now 30 year old layout finally moved in 2012 into a 12 'x 28' room all its own with 5' x 5' alcove for a new harbor scene, a 4' x 8' staging yard, and 6' x 10' room housing a double track helix and coaling tower. This largely free-lanced multi-deck layout set west and north of Boston in the 1950's features a 3' foot long 19" high double track trestle with over 1200 nut, bolt and washer castings. The Allston freight yard is now 20' long with 3 A&D tracks and 6 classification tracks.  The addition of the smaller Rigby freight yard allows for point-to-point operations. The layout features 3 kits each from FOS Scale Models and South River Model Works.
