Bob Hogan's Sierra Northern Railroad (S)
After 25 years of modeling in Sn3, I took the opportunity of our move to middle Georgia in 2004 to construct my first S standard gauge layout. The Sierra Northern Railroad is the result of that effort, a new railroad featuring S standard with a logging operation. The central theme of the new Sierra Northern Railroad is that of a mythical crossing of California's Sierra Nevada mountains. No attempt was made to model any specific location on the new railroad, but rather to capture the general look and feel of the Southern Pacific's Donner Pass and Shasta routes. This railroad has recently been featured in RMC, the S Gaugian and the Dispatch.
